Open Question: Why are some gay men really feminine and others not so much?

Are some gay men just gay enough to be considered? Or is it based on how long they were in the closet if at all? I know someone who knew he was gay his whole life and isn't super feminine sounding or in behavior, at least around mostly straight groups of people.

I have noticed that gay filipinos are VERY feminine, natives that are mainly brought up Catholic and conservative for the most part.

I'm having a party pretty soon and my straight friends know I'm gay, but they've never met my gay friends. I act straight but most of my gay friends would seem pretty bizarre from someone who doesn't hang out with gay guys, and my straight friends are your typical bro dudes. So, a lot of characters who are gay are killed off in films, both those produced by straight people and those produced by gay people. In which do you think they are more likely to die?

I personally can't decide. Quite often they are killed off in straight media, but same for gay media to add a 'sympathy' aspect. I want to know what you think.

I say no. And please read my hypothesis before emotionally rejecting it.

The reason is this: If gay people are born gay it means its genetically determined. This is incompatible with evolution because gay people do not reproduce.

Therefore if being gay or lesbian was in fact genetic the theoretical "gay gene" would have been eliminated over time through evolution.

Therefore being gay is a choice seeded in emotion. Not something you are genetically predisposed to or born with.

I doubt there will be any response to this question in which case your silence will be my answer and confirmation.

I like to write about being gay or gay relationships in my assignments so I bring awareness. I don't go graphic, but I make most my homework assignments steer towards being gay in some way or another.
